In July of 1965 The Brothers Four recorded their Merry Christmas album. Over 45 years later their renditions remain heartwarming and timeless. Every once in a while the guys talk about how strange it was to go into the recording studio on a hot summer day in New York City in search of the Christmas spirit. The spirit they found still lives today.

Here is an mp3 of one of the songs from those sessions, Away in a Manger, featuring two things that helped define the group for years, Dick Foley’s wonderful voice and a special musical arrangement by Milt Okun.
